BOSS, Yahoo’s “Build Your Own Service”, announced at the end of September its latest additions to Search API, designed to enhance all online research activities. The change resides in including geolocation data taken from PlaceSpotter and PlaceFinder, other two Yahoo services, allowing web developers to strengthen website applications and functionalities while geographically targeting users.

How is BOSS taking advantage of this change? To begin with:

  • PlaceSpotter is a good asset for extracting location related information
